Nice Cab Conversion for a Farmall H

Well it looks like I didn"t get around to finding a Farmall 706 with cab this summer which was my plan for a snow plowing tractor this year...meaning I have to use the H again and hope I don"t have to take the 12 mile trip to the in-laws too often. I get cold just thinking about it. Anyway, instead of a canvas heat-houser (sp?) I was toying with the idea of putting a cab on the old girl. I ran across a really nice picture of one on this site and was wondering if anyone recognized the brand of cab, and if they could tell me what tractor it may have come off originally?

I had this posted on the Farmall board but it must not be a Farmall/IH cab because there weren't any "guesses". I hope someone can point me the right direction. Thanks!

I agree on it being a Case cab, from a 70 series.

Brent, I know of a 656 that is for sale. Haven"t seen it yet, don"t know if it is gas or diesel, or if it has a cab. I will see it this afternoon if plans come together. It is in southwest Iowa.

Thats exactly the cab I took off a 1650 Oliver, and
put on a John Deere 2520 over 20 years ago. Sorry I
can't remember the name, maybe Hiniker. The tractor
and Cab are in the middle of Wi if you want to go look. I see no reason that cab couldn't be mounted on an M if you really wanted to and had a welder to
make the brackets, The axle brackets fit on the JD
but I had to make new brackets for the front. The
sheet metalaround the hood , the floor and the back
would have to be fabricated too.

Look at the steering wheel. Look at the window reflections; they don't ring true.

The "T/A" lever & the left hand grab handle inside. Tractor appears to have a MCV plate as well but the details have been smoothed out.

Look at the cab mount. Nice air brush effect going on there.

I dunno. Could be real I guess, but it sure looks like a doctored picture to me.

It looks like the cab off of just about every tractor in the 60's. It might be a year-round cab, they were popular too. I might have that 706 you are looking for, and it has a cab

I think the picture is legit and the fella who somehow got that cab on it is pretty darn clever. I figure the easiest explanation is usually right.

Now around here we have a lot of folks who will tell you that the reason the Vikings never won a Super Bowl is that there is a vast conspiracy within the NFL that is anti-Minnesota. Similar to the NCAA conspiracy that continually finds serious or not so serious rules violations against my beloved Minnesota Golden Gophers. (how the heck can you be that bad for 40 years if you were cheating the whole time?)

If the thing is indeed real, that feller needs a HUGE pat on the back.

They are an absolute "bear" to put on when they are made to go on the tractor. Let alone one that was never intended to be there in the first place.

anyway if your not to far away northeast neb here, i have a buddy that wants to sell his 806 or something in the 8's not sure, has a cab & loader both to go i think he was askn 5-6000 but cant remember everything..

Naw, I hope it is real. If so, that guy deserves the medal of honor 'er something. That is some feat to pull off.

However, I just don't see how that steering wheel got cut in half with the black vertical line by the light reflection alone is all. :>)

Those darned cabs are buggers to put on when they belong on a tractor. Just can't imagine someone taking that much time and effort to plug one in on a H.

I can see that steering wheel chopped in half. It might be too good to be true, but then again, the patterns of the sun seem to compliment the rest of the tractor, and there is NO mistaking that sheild along the side of the engine.

Looks like a Hinson cab and to me it looks real you can see the throtle rod and steering shaft go through the cowling of the cab also the reflection in the window.
