Thanks for posting, I would have been about that boys age when the film was made. Wish I would have asked more questions to the old timers back then.

Interesting. My dad was the last one of generations of gristmills and a lumber family. The last mill burnt when I was one year old, its a funny thing,my mother took me to the mill to watch Daddy work,. He was the sawyer, it must have sparked me because years after he passed I said that I remembered my dad sawing lumber to my uncle. He said impossible, I proceed to tell him in detail what I remembered. He was amazed I had remembered obvious detail. The mill was near our house and the remains became my playground. I pulled a 1/2 hp Monarch out of the yard and got it running, my first of many one loungers. Today I still dream of the days ,wishing I could play again, fixing rust Isnt a hobby its a passion. My service in the Army has caught up and I now am a rocking chair mechanic. Wishing I could help another generation to carry on our legacy.
