Nimco Loader Valve

I bought a small Agco tractor that has a Nimco Joystick on the loader that has worn ball joints, and it works but is sloppy -- trying to keep it going. Not all parts are available from Agco and are crazy $$$. Is there a better place to find parts for these? Also I was thinking in the meantime about using really thick grease on it like NLGI 6. Does that stuff provide much lubrication? thanks

No idea on the parts, but in my experience, there probably isn't a better source of parts than your Agco dealer. Not enough of them out there for aftermarket to pick up support.

The only aftermarket "support" would be a complete new valve.

If you think thick grease is going to take up some of the slop, think again.

Vevor has a joystick valve for $64. You'll probably need to buy adapters for your hoses but even then total cost won't be much more than $100. I'm betting you'll spend more than that on small parts at the Agco dealer.

If you decide to replace your valve,be sure you select a valve with the same positions. Does your current valve have a float position on the boom lift? Most loader valves have that. It allows the boom arms to move up and down to follow the ground. The least expensive directional control valves, sometimes advertised as loader valves, do not have that float position. If you use on of those cheaper valves you will lose the float function. Just something to be aware of.

If you are just looking for the ball joint links on the end of the cables most truck parts houses would have some and even good hardware stores should have some sizes. I know I can get them at my local parts house.they carry or can get just about anything you can imagine and at a reasonable cost most times. . Bought some of those for my brothers loader control from D&D Truck parts in Corunna MI 989 743 5707 . Richard owns the place and Raymond has worked in the parts industry for a few decades both are good and capable.

Yeah the ball joints alone add up to $130. I saw the chinese Vevor valve, but then saw some reviews on it where you needed special fittings and complaints about the ports being too close together. But I am keeping this in mind if it will work.

It has the float position, I want to keep that. Saw some reviews on replacements where some claimed the direction was flipped after they installed it.

I think I will go this route first. There is a block that the joints fit into that I hope is not worn too -- I believe it's discontinued. I will call D&D Truck Parts, thanks so much for the tip,
