have 2n 6volt been sitting about 6 months no start no fire to plugs have 6.6 volts to wire going to coil tried another 1 of those took dist. out ran brown paper bag piece thru points turned dist. points were opening and closing any ideas thanks--vince

Use a multimeter to make sure they are closing, if they do not make contact, they will not work. gap to 0.015" make sure the coil is mounted properly and the spring is making contact. If the voltage is not dropping to near zero when cranking, the points are not making contact!

Probably still your points. Gonna take more than paper through the points, like a point file, a new set of points, etc.

Even if there closing, corrosion on them will keep continuity from passing, thus no spark.
