No More Points and Condenser on the 200

It looked like I was going to have to replace the distributor or at least do a complete re-build. I am sure the power lead to the points had shorted out. I decided to install an electronic ignition and wow! I will never go back. Once I got the new ignition installed and gasoline in the tank it roared to life. It seems to be performing much better. I did this with a Chevy pickup years ago and got the same result. I do like this electronic ignition.

The electronic conversion does do wonders for most of this older equipment. Just don't leave the ignition turned on with the engine stopped for a long period of time, or it will burn up the sensor in the electronic stuff.I have some engines approaching 20 yrs since converted over.
