Noisy Valve

I adjusted the valve clearance on my 8n a while back and noticed all the adjusting nuts had some resistance to turning, which they should because they're interference fit, all except for one, which turned pretty easily and now I can hear it tapping again because that adjustment has changed again. The only thing I can think of is to peen the threads, but not easy to do as they're hardened and I don't want to bend anything.
I tried blue threadlocker when I first adjusted them but it doesn't seem to have worked for long. Anybody have any suggestions?

steveh1155 , Thread locker will not work if there is oil on the threads.It must be cleaned well with brake clean and allowed to dry first.Yes you could also pein the threads to keep from turning so easy.

I wouldn't think the blue thread locker would work with the heat generated around it. Try the next color up, red? Be sure all the threads are clean.

DO NOT use Red thread locker that you may want to adjust at some point in the future. As someone else said earlier, clean the threads and nuts with brake cleaner, let them dry, THEN use blue thread locker. Oil or petroleum based products/residue in the threads will prevent thread locker from working.
