Not a tractor but..

I have a mill here that is running on an IH inline 6 engine and transmission. Actually the front half of the truck frame is in there with the radiator back to the drive shaft and the instrument panel is attached to the tranny. Anyhow I'm trying to get a year and model for this so I can get parts for it and stuff. And thought maybe someone here could ID the dash panel from a photo below.

Thanks

just looking closer at it and it maybe a 1952 model with that type of guage cluster. so it could be the silver diamond engine. look in the lower read left of block at the triple diamonds and see if it says silver diamond there.there was a change from silver to black sometime in middle 50's.

i have a 1966 3/4 ton, with a b g 241 engine. looks like it. hmmm who knows. perhaps that there are some numbers on it somewhere

(quoted from post at 15:19:16 04/06/19) Does it run a feed grinding/mixing mill or a metal working mill?

Saw mill actually. Thanks for the tips, i knew I'd find out here.

Where on the block will the id markings be? It looks to be a 50-52 silver diamond but not sure how to tell what size.

Thanks everyone

Model and serial numbers for the engine are stamped in machined surface at right front corner of the block just below the head.
The control knob style in your photo were used on R and S series trucks. 1953-1956 or 7. Good chance it is a SD220 or SD240.
Let us know what you find out.

I'll have a look I'm headed out there shortly we are going to to get it going. Not really sure how its getting gas. There is a gas tank there probably from the truck but its below the carb and seems to bypass the fuel pump. Seems like it should be gravity fed. This photo shows the only thing in the fuel line theres a filter before it but this looks like a filter too. It has a wire attached to it.. any idea what it is?

Here is a photo of the Id boss on the side of the engine.

Thanks for reporting back Glenn,
I think the 'C' at the end of the serial number could be a "0".
I agree the fuel pump is probably electric but originally was mechanical off of the camshaft, lower left side of the block.
Good luck with it.

Yup the original pumps there but disconnected. The ignition switch is acc to the left, stop in the middle and run/start to the right so the pump came on a few seconds after the battery hooked up abdxsurprised us. Trying to get spark now probably be running shortly unless the coil is bad I don't have a spare for that. Gap is supposedly .020

Got it running but the fuels pumps don't work so ill see about getting one in tomorrow. I'll put the mechanical back on it if I can get one instead of the electric.

Glenn,
RockAuto shows a couple pumps for that engine. I used the Carter on my SD240. If nothing else, maybe you could use the numbers at your local auto parts store.
Carter -- M835
Airtex -- 4459
Hope this helps. Auto parts store may not recognize an IHC number which is 84838R93 for the Carter.
Sounds like you are on your way to success.

Thanks for your help everyone. Runs like a top now still needs 2nd oil change. wires, plugs.. points and cap seem ok. Went with the electric replacement pump. Mechanical one was too far away .

Valve train is a little noisey but I'll run it a few more times it's not that noiseybthatbibwould consider it a problem. Is it adjustable on this one? Are the lifters hydraulic or solid?... I see it has a side access cover soni assume you can adjust this one through there

(quoted from post at 23:15:59 04/08/19) [Hi Glenn, good news. Solid lifters, adjust under valve cover on top.
.018-.020, op temp. Both intake and exhausted.
Dennis

Just the info I was looking for. So the engine had an old jacket draped over it instead of an air cleaner I'm assuming it's not an OEM jacket and I dont see a metal air cleaner anywhere so ill have to find something I can use that has a filter.
