Not Exactly...

I posted about the old 10 bench grinder when I bought it a couple of weeks ago.
Have been working on it a bit here.
The worst thing about it was one of the cast iron guards was broken.
Could have used it as it was but thought I'd try my hand at fixing it.
So I bought some 3/16 plate and broke out the rose bud, welder, grinders and such and went to work.
And, I was in touch with YT member Paul in MN who gave me some great advice about blacksmithing. His suggestion to use a trailer ball as an anvil to help form the compound curve was the clincher.
Brilliant!
I will get it into the sand blaster again then get some primer and paint on it.
Ford Blue.
I can weld and grind and braze ok but have never really tried to sculpt a piece of metal like this.
So its Not Exactly...
But it's better than it was and I'm not unhappy with it.
And next time I'll do better. Maybe.

Very nice job. Also it looks you are wearing Redwing 202 or 402 work boots. I have been wearing them for about 35 years and am in need of a new pair.

I've been wearing Redwings for about 50 years.

Red Wing Pecos boots for me , 30 years now and just looking like I need a new pair . I only wear them on the farm though , no concrete or asphalt .
You wouldn't believe how much they cost in Australia

Is it a matter of principle for you to buy boots of this particular brand? After all, you can see shoes from other manufacturers at a more affordable price.

Funny what people notice in a photo.
Yes they're Red Wings. I think 202s. Have
been wearing the same brand/style for 30
years myself.

Dr Sportster,
Well said. Take them out of the box, put
them on and go to work.

My redwings were sent in for a resolve in February, after 3 years.
Wore out a pair of Wolverines in the meantime, and had to go to my Keene hikers for work.
We'll see how the twisted x do once the keene's wear out.
