Not Starting

My 35 direct injection diesel started sounding like giving out of fuel and after adding it wouldn't start. I bled everything and getting good fuel to the injectors but still no luck. I'm thinking either
rings or valves. Would like to do a compression test but injectors look to be held in with 2 studs with nuts then unscrew, is that correct?

Are you sure it's the late AD3.152 direct injected engine? My late MF 35 with the MP transmission has the A3.152 indirect injected engine that don't start as well cold as the AD3.152 used in the 135 models. The early engines had the two hole injectors vertically in the cylinder head, and the head had three pre chamber three bolt cover plates and flat top pistons are used. The AD3.152 had no cover plates and the four hole injectors are angled in the head and spray directly into the piston cup.

Mine has the 3 cover plates just below the exhaust. The injectors stand straight up with 2 studs per injector and 2 hold down nuts, then the top part of injector has threads half way down which would require removal of studs to replace. I think a pic would better explain. Thanks.

That's the same as mine, A3.152 that never did start well cold unless the intake manifold heater is used. The AD3.152 like the 135 has starts much better cold.

How do you change these injectors and how to do compression test? I have a 135 with indirect injectors an it's much harder to bleed than this one.

The 135 should have direct injected, ANGLED injector engine, unless someone has replaced it with the older A3.152 which has the STRAIGHT injectors. To do a compression test I remove all injectors and the fuel tank so the compression tools will enter the head injector bores as needed.
