now i got my B now HELP

Ok mad eth deal and got it home heres a few quesiotns
this is a 1939 model year or so i been told to dark now to find the S/n but that should be near the shifter???
Now this one being a crank start the crank shaft pully ratchet is all but gone and the crank will hardly catch now are ther new ones of these or should i weld it up or find another one???
also can a starter be put on this one??
there is also a hole under side just behind the trany that lets you see in to the clutch? is thsi correct looks like it
I gotton it to pop but that about all sat for a while so a good carb cleaning is in order but any pointers on starting it
I know thumb is on the same side as your fingers just like a model T

Yes you can add a starter if you find a torque tube made for the starter and also a flywheel with the ring gear. I also may have a good hand crank bolt that I could/would sell. E-mail is open. I also may have a torque tube if one form a C would work which I think it would

You probably need to shine up the magneto points and check the gap.

Don't drop that carb when you rebuild it. The bolt tabs sure do break off easy. Don't ask how I found out?

Serial number is right next to shifter.

Can weld up crank pully or find a used one cheap.

The hole is for timing.

Starter, probably not unless there's a big hole on the right side of the bell housing and there's a ring gear on the flywheel.

Get Owners, Service and Parts manual.

If you have or can find someone with a mill you can clamp the pulley in a vice and plunge cut with a 3/4 end mill and make it look almost as good as new.

If you are talking about the oval hole on the bottom of the torque tube, this is the clutch inspection hole which you use to grease the clutch bearing and to adjust the clutch clearance. Cover plates for this hole are readily available.
