What I ment by can't be hardwired is
You can't wire it to your modem or router, only can use them if you also have wireless/wifi internet service onsite.

Most streaming devices are wireless. A few units like Roku Ultra are both wireless and still have an ethernet cable connection for even faster data flow. Around $75 to $100.
