Oddball loaders.

SVcummins post about combine loaders got me thinking(dangerous LOL) about odd loaders. combines,reversed tractors.old reversed trucks,etc.Or even some unusual 'factory' built ones. Lets see some pics of yours. American farmer enginuity at its finest!Steve

Not so oddball; maybe just old. Sauder Loader (from New Holland PA) about 1970. Also had an earlier one that was a trip loader.

This loader isn't unusual but count the farmer adapted pipe fittings. Also what is that tank? But it does work.

Neighbor about 30- years back had a Cletrak that was a cable lift. He converted it to hydraulic using a power steering pump. Came over to smooth out some ditch on my place. Well, one of the hoses let go and dropped the blade right in with him blocking the road. This was late on a Sunday and the hardware stores were closed. We fashioned a hose out of some push-loc and a few clamps, and I told him to make sure he got a new hose on Monday.
Couple months later he comes over and asks if I have more of that Push-loc. Said he'd blown another hose and that air hose held better than the stuff from Tractor Supply.

Those loaders aren't my idea of fun, JCB designed one in England called a "loadover". The concept was for loading trucks from stock piles in yards. you drive in the pile filling the bucket and back up with the truck parked behind you. Then dump the load in the truck over the top without turning all the time like with a conventional loader. It was the idea of the day that kinda made sense to save time, but like 8 track tapes or Betamax video cassettes it never quite took off, and became a part of history.

I saw a crawler with a set up like that. I was told it was for moving coal at a power plant. Same deal---drive into the pile, raise the bucket, then back up and bring the bucket all the way over and dump it behind you. I have pics, but they're not on this computer.
