Off topic. Shaver fence post driver.

I was wondering if someone here had a shaver fence post pounder that could post a pic of there hydraulic valve and plumbing. I have Gresen 3300?? Valve and im trying to figure out which ports to use assuming this is open center. Thanks for any help. Aaron

Have an old one that hasn't been used in a long time, so no picture; mounted it on the front of 4020s. IIRC, the valve came with it; the 'charge'/up hose hooked into the breakaway coupler at rear of tractor; 'dump'/down hose was about 2 inch in diameter and screwed into the fill port under the seat.

Did you inspect the valve to see if the ports were marked "in"/"out"?

I got this one without any hoses and it hasn't been used in awhile. The return line is obvious but I didn't know what port to use for my pressure line. Aaron

Aaron: There is a pic of my Shaver HD8 on a tread in the archives that shows the original shaver valve if that will help. The original valve has in & out labels on the port. Do a search on "gwece post driver" and click on the "help on 4010 hyd hookup of post driver" topic. The return line from the valve is now a 2 inch hose that dumps directly into the tractor hyd. reservior and not the small one shown in the pic.

Thanks For the link. Your valve in slightly different than mine. I will check the valve tonight for markings. Mine has several pipe plugs that I can feed in to. Thanks Again Aaron

I put ours on my 4020 but 3 PT hitch so I could just plug into rear ports. With a hydo Center Link you could tip anywhere to do the job.

Yes. dump into resevoir unrestricted. Downforce is much better.
