I have a Cub,Super A and an Allis B, I probaly dont run any one of these more than 10 hours a year max. How often would you recomend changing oil and filter and also do I need to use any fuel additives? (ie stabil, octane booster, etc)
Thanks

Kind of a tough call on the oil changes. For sure the oil is going to get a bit contaminated just from age if nothing else, but 10 hours of actual use sure isn't enough to warrant a change. I think the best advice might to just keep an eye on the appearance and "feel" of the oil. If it starts to look kind of milky and nasty, change it.

You really do not need any additives in the gasoline except for maybe the 'Stabil" Personally, I do not use it and I have no problems, but quite a few others do use it, and swear by it.

In order to reduce condensation and water in the fuel you should keep the tanks full, or drain them. If you have full tanks and only run it 10 hours then there's going to be a lot of unused fuel there. I use Stabil for this type of situation.

My son, grandson, & I change each tractor yearly. My opinion is that this is very cheap insurance against acid reaction. This may be overkill but it is great peace of mind. Also helps to spot any cooling system leaks early.
