oil filter

I own a ferguson to35 1955 and il love this machine but i dont trust the filter cannester its the original and the parts show lots of wear.
were can i find these new parts .and i heard that is a kit to replace the cannester so i can put a filter that i can screw in place,if it exist is this kit recommendable for a z134.

just interested, what parts of the canister filter system are worn.

I know it is a bit of a pain to get the oil filter out of canister sometimes, but it seams to have been a good system as it has worked fine on my 1957 to-35 for 52 years.

I guess the canister was made strong to protect the oil filter system aganist brush and other things that could hit and damage filter.

I had a AC D-14 with spin on filter, but the filter was located up higher on the tractor out of the way of possible damage.

Be sure you still have the spring and washer inside the canister filter housing, this spring pushes filter aganist the motor block. If no spring then the oil flows around the filter with no filter action.

Yes this site has them and cheaper than I have seen other places. Left column this page then the top section under "Marketplace" click on "Tractor Parts" then follow through to the section on oil.
