Oil Leak

My 1949 unstyled AR has developed an oil leak where the 3 large studs connect the front " frame " to the engine block. Oil is dripping out of the 3 studs. Any one know an easy fix to this problem?

If it's leaking at the gasket seam you have to replace the gasket. Just the bolts leaking, maybe a little sealer under the nuts. Ron Mn.

The gasket under the round plate with 4 bolts is uually the culprit. B246R for that round gasket.When you remove it, the oil pump gears will fall down. You will need a friend to help you.

Just reread your post. disregard my last post. Thought I read the 3 bolts that attach the oil pump housing.
