oil loss

I have a AC D-15 Series 11. I was checking fluid levels and found that the 3 point hydraulic resevoir was low. I checked the transmission fluid and found it to be high. ( apprx 2 qts, about the same amount that the hydraulic res was low.)

what is going on?
thanks in advance for any help
