Oil pressure.

Looking for info on a farmall A. What is normal or recommended engine oil pressure. I feel mine is weak at only 20psi hot at full throttle and idling with 10psi. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Warped cover and blown gasket on oil pump most likely cause.

My Super C was like that when I got it, oil pump cover warped and gasket blown out. On a flat surface like a piece of glass rub
the cover in a non directional pattern over a sheet of med. grit sand paper.
My gauge is pegged cold and doesn't move much hot.

Thanks for the info!! I believe this may be the answer. I know of a couple other guys with Model A s that run with 40+ psi hot. Mine stone cold barely makes 35psi then drops when it reaches operating temp. To me this is a symptom of a weak pump as loose bearings with a good pump commonly have high pressure cold then drops significantly as it warms to operating temp. Is there a part number for the gasket or can a person make one from gasket material?
