oil pressure

engine lost all oil pressure.drained oil and removed oil pan.removed oil pump from front main.removed plate and inspected pump gears.checked pickup tube for holes and cracks.everything seems to look good.in bottom of oil pan found this dial pin and clip.not sure where it is suppose to go.also would like any help on oil pressure.

Robert, not sure how those two items wound up in the oil pan but it appears they are the dowel pin and washer that holds the old style starter Bendix in place.
