Oil slinger

Have been consulting Hobos site for engine rebuild, He says:

"...oil slinger on the end of crank before you put the timing cover on..."

Can someone show a pic of the "oil slinger"? not seeing it in the manual & don't recall having one on my '52 8n motor.

Thx

NH on-line parts shows it, although not clearly, part # 406310A Slinger, Crankshaft Oil, Years: 01/01/1939-12/31/1952.

It appears to still be available through your friendly New Holland dealer for a little over three bucks!

It's just a keyed sheetmetal disk that fits on the end of the crankshaft. It throws oil off the circumference as the crank spins.

Without the oil slinger, there will be increased oil on the front seal and decreased oil on the gears.---lha
