how is the best way to split a JD 7020 4wd for a clutch and anything to watch out for when in for clutch

Those ain't too bad to split....drain the fuel and remove the fuel tanks. Block/secure the front axel so it won't pivot(at the dealership we had u-bolted fabricated steel plate welded-up blocks)....Bolt on a front splitting stand....jack-up the tractor under the center and block it solid....take out the side frame bolts and the clutch housing bolts and roll it in two.

Be
warned that the back end of the engine/front assembly will want to tip back...so maybe put a wheel jack under the back of a side-frame...block it securely after it's split.

I believe the last one of those I split was a 7520 and the front half was really prone to tip back
