Three speed with a high and low shifter or only three forward gears?
A picture would help, but you have to have several posts to add one.
Or ask the site admins to allow you to post one.

That said, hydraulic cylinders for loaders usually used generic off the shelf parts.

To my knowledge, the only Ford tractors with a 3 speed forward
transmission without a high/low shifter (and they could be added)
were the 9N/2N. That doesn't really jive with the numbers you posted.
I think Shaun may have it right. He often is. I just don't know yet.

34011A: 3400 with diesel engine, 4 speed
transmission, and no PTO, see Ford
brochure page below, BASIC MODELS. 124388
is a 1966 model according to the serial
number reference on this website. Most
likely loader is a Ford 730.

34011A is a pre-4/1/68 3400 with a diesel engine, no PTO and a 4 speed transmission. Maybe one of your gears has something wrong with it that is preventing you from being able to shift into it.

C124388 is an early 1966 serial number. 1966 "C" serial numbers started with C124200, so it was the 188th tractor built that year out of approximately 37,000.

That's a 3400 front axle for sure. The grill says it is a pre-4/1/68 tractor. The hood doesn't match. Good of you to tell us that you replaced the louvered hood panels with those otherwise folks on here would go through another round of guessing as they changed the grill style at the same time that they changed the hood panels, on 4/1/68, so those hood panels would have never been on a tractor with that grill from the factory. They also change the model numbers to start with a letter on that date, so 34011A would have been C4011A if it was made on or after that date. Everything seems to point to it being an early 1966 3400 with a 4 speed transmission that came from the factory with no PTO. Adding a PTO to a 4 speed tractor afterwards was done a lot by both dealers and by owners.

The fact that you can only shift it into 3 gears points to a problem with a transmission. Your picture of the top of the trans with the single shifter says that it is definitely a 4 speed transmission. They never made a 3 speed transmission for that series of tractors. They made a couple of transmission that had 3 forward gears on the main shifter, the 6 speed and the 6x4 manual reversing trans, but those both had a second shorter shifter next to the main shifter.

Here's a picture of the shift pattern sticker for that transmission along with the ground speed at various rpm's in each gear:

It's always cool to decode the serial numbers. I found out my 3500 had a diesel from the factory. It was changed to a gas at some point over the years.

The Left loader arm may have tag inside . 19-529 stamped in it. The boom cyls are not OEM cannot see bucket cyls . That is a 730 series loader

That could be all four cylinders changed that are the same by someone over the years. Bucket was changed

I will look on the inside left arm tomorrow but pretty sure all of the plates and stickers are gone. The cyl are not 730 oem the end hub I call on the cyl is not screwed on it is held in by a retainer snap ring on all four. Looks like the oem they are screwed in I may be wrong on that. I may have to take it to the hydraulic repair shop if I can not locate kit. I do not want to do that because I have rebuilt many a cylinder.

Thanks for the dia on shift pattern I have been using 1&3 and reverse never really tried finding a 4th. I don't have a need for 4th 3rd is plenty fast for what I been using the old tractor for. I have a 78 3600 that I use most of the time. I like to use the old tractor because of the large bucket and it has the hydraulic down three point hitch good for post- hole digging. Thanks for all your help.
