well, I live in Wyoming where the sage brush grows well and we use a bush hog and a dump rake and get some pretty good hay. Yes, there is some sage and the cattle will pick around it , but this grass is some of the best for feeding cattle on the grass year around. I tried raking with my wheel rake and it don't pick it up well , but the old dump rake works like a champ. Some times we forget want use to work well. Just my two cents , which is not worth much today
