Old Oliver 2btm plow

Can anyone identify the model on this plow and how much they think it would be worth. It’s on a local auction and I’ve always wanted a pull behind 2 btm for my Farmall h. If it went cheap enough I may buy it
Thanks Haykid

I cannot help you on the model, but price wise it will go for somewhere between 25$ and $150. I have heard the general rule on plows is $50 per bottom, after that take into account condition. In this case, it will need tires at the very least to be usable again, that could set you back at least $100 unless you happen to have some old tires lying around that are the correct size.

It appears to be ground lift, but not a rooster comb. Maybe a Plowmaster 100.
Recently bought an Oliver 4340 with marginal rubber an no cylinder for $200. Also bought an IH 3 bottom ground lift on bad rubber for $50.

I cannot identify the model, but I can say that Oliver plows were very popular in my area when I was much younger. A neighbor had a couple he used behind an H. He rigged a section of a spike-tooth harrow that would break up the turned ground as he plowed . It did a good job for him.

Have the exact same, and also the 3 bottom version. 3 bottom has a rubber rear tire.

Dad plowed with the 3 bottom and an Ollie 88 gas.

I was 8 when I started plowing with the 2 bottom and an IHC 300.

In alfalfa it pulled too hard, dad would put 2 chains with a tire in between and mom would pull with the IHC H in front of the Ollie 88. I guess they had 2 gears that matched up pretty close.

Never knew the model of the plows, but I went through a lot of shins and lays on them over the decades we used them.

Do they have the special cleric it needs? We have the one that just needs a pin, and the one that bolts on to a drawbar. Hum, I think I know where one is, not sure where the other is….

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know what kind of wear parts it would take. Are they universal to Oliver plows or how does that work. Sorry I’m very new to plows I’ve been around tractors and can normally figure most stuff out but I can’t find much info on these old implements

Back in the 70s it was the very common Oliver plow lay and shin and landslide. Yours does look more different than ours is, not sure if you just have a more sculpted aftermarket or specialty lay?
