Steel or wooden?I’ve got a pile of old posts. I’ve gone back and reused them over the last 30 years. I’ve even boughten other people’s old posts.
Yes, it's still good info and it's right there for your use. Like you say though, there's nothing new to add, so there is absolutely no reason to respond to an old thread.Considering the equipment I usually ask questions about is pushing 70 years old, good information shared 2 decades ago is still good info. I'm not here for the cutting edge technology, I'm looking for what the previous generations learned the hard way that never got wrote down anywhere else.
But I do think it's fair to have some kind of obvious marker system for discussions that are older than a certain age, whether it be 30, 60, 90 days etc.
I'd love to see the thread. It was probably me.I tell ya whats funny, I saw one of those old a while back and a poster, Ill keep his name anonymous, repsonded both before and after with completely different information.
How do you know it doesn't interest you until after you've read it? You can't unread something and get the time you spent reading it back. That is truly a first world problem of zero consequence. Ignore what does not interest you.
Who's worried? Don't you observe the world around you and think about how it can be improved? The silly things grown people worry about, I do not understand most of it.![]()
If you notice most of the old posts come alive by a NEW MEMBER.How come so many old posts are showing up lately. Some that are ten years and older. And guys are commenting on them or adding imfo...

Do you mean accessible, but locked to adding any new posts? These old posts should be archived after a length of time ! Posting not allowed.
I suppose I was being too careful and not using my learning…. It’s more like “From the land of almost right we have a suggested thread”Dictionary
