Old sprayer

Any body familiar with one of these? I just bought it because I thought it was neat. It's a hahn HBS 80. I can't find anything about them.

I have several of them running, although mine are either the model 300 or 312's. Hahn went out of business in the early 1980's. It's a very simple made machine. They all came with Wisconsin engines in them with some of the 180's that I've seen had a 2 cyl Wisconsin but got swapped to a VH4D. The larger machines had the VH4D engines. A 150 gallon tank was standard issue on a model 180. Model 300 and up had a 200 gallon. The transmission is a Borg-Warner model T-9 four speed. Probably has 4th gear locked out on it by the roll pin in the shift rail. Manual steering is a Ross gearbox. If you're seriously gonna use it a diaphragm spray pump works the best that I've found. We finally got power steering installed on all the ones we've got. Sprayed a many of acres with them. If have any questions I'd be glad to try to help.

Heres a pic of one of them that I have. This one had a hydraulic system added to it for power steering, boom lift, and boom fold. The later models came equipped already with hydraulics.

Check the rear frame for cracks,one neighbor broke his more than once and they fall over when the reat wheel falls off.

I had the weld break loose underneath on the steering post on one in a turn and it rolled it over. Talk about waking you up !!
