Oliver 1365 Front Axle

Looking for information. On how to remove the front axel. I think you remove the set screw on the back side of the housing by the knuckle. I did this but can't get the axle to come out. Any advice would be great.

You might want to try posting on the Oliver forum further down the list. I would think there are more Oliver experts lurking there than on the restoration forum. Steve
 
Odds are whatever you're trying to remove has been there for over 50 years and will need more persuasion than a disapproving stare.

What part of the "axle" are you trying to remove? It sounds to me like you are trying to remove the center pivot pin to remove the entire axle assembly, but I don't want to assume.
 
Yes. I was trying to get the axle out of the housing. I am at the knuckle or where the 2 u joints are. I removed the retaining screw on the back of the axle housing. I did not want to force anything and the shop manual does not show the best.
