Oliver 1550 diesel

My Oliver starts and runs well. The over under also works fine. This is a fairly heavy tractor, kind of large in size and completely stock. The hydraulics are weak especially the remotes. I’ve never farmed with it, but I like Oliver’s and it matched my 550 so it’s perfect. I do a few tractor pulls each year with it. Problem is it’s not very competitive. Weighs enough to bump me up a class. I just run out of power, never has a traction problem. What are some helpful options? I’m thinking remove the rear wheel weights but don’t know if that would help the power issue but might be enough to put me in a lighter class.
