Oliver 1550 steering

I was using my Oliver 1550 this morning and all of a sudden I
had no steering pulled up on the steering wheel and the steering
wheel and the shaft all came out of the tube I noticed that their
is a nut on the end of the shaft is that nut used to tighten down
on the shaft for the power steering motor

Kinda, ya. There's a little ball that goes down in there too and that nut squeezes the whole thing to the shaft in the hydra motor.
