Oliver 1610 Loader

I accidently stumbled across a 1610 loader off of a 550. Rusty but not all tore up, bucket is a little rough but acceptable. It has a hydraulic bucket. Will the hydraulics on a 550 run this loader or will it need a front mounted pump? Can you add a second remote lever to run both loader and bucket? Is there a way to set it up for power beyond? Told the guy I was interested but needed to do some research first. Thanks, Chris

I thought that a 1610 was mainly for the larger tractors, maybe like a 77-1655 or so. I did recently see one advertised on a 550. A 550 can easily be setup for power beyond. It?s been awhile, but there is a small plate or cap on the right side just behind your leg, you replace that cap with a different one that is tapped in the right place and it will supply oil. The flow is low on the factory pump, you will be happier with a front mounted pump, but the factory pump will work.

I had a 1550 with a 1610 loader, and it sure seems like it would be too big for a 550.

I'm trying to remember where you are located- I have a Freeman 100 on a 550, with valve and front pump, that I would like to sell. Keeping the tractor, but don't need the loader as I have a loader on a modern Kubota for those chores. I'm in western Washington.

I?m in Illinois, would be a long road trip, gas ⛽️ would cost 3 or 4 times the cost of the loader. Thanks

Good evening coshoo,
I might be interested for my 550. How wide is the bucket?
E-mail should be open....

we had that loader on 1850 had a 550 for short time and it had a 1510 on it if remember right smaller verison, these were all swartz loaders if memory correct just in different paint, they were never real heavy units

From what I understand, and I could be wrong, the arms and buckets were all the same between the 1510 and 1610, only the frames were different.

Could be someone put arms labeled as a 1610 on a 550 that has a 1510 frame on it.
