Anybody know how to champ up a 354 Perkins in a Oliver 1850 ? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Don't have enough information. You evidently want to pull it. What are the rules? RPM. Turbos I suppose. It will be hard to beat a 466cu IHC or a JD. If your class rules don't say just 360 cubic in. Maybe you can have a 8.2 Liter Cummins. Mite find one of these in a old bucket truck. Or State truck They would be in a Frieghtliner. To answer your question. Find out in your area where someone works on Diesel pumps. It takes more fuel and air to make more power.

1006 seems to come to mind, don't know if that's
a model or series of 354 Perkins or a head casting number. Pulloff.com is your friend.
Good luck and have fun.

You can advance timing a little and increase fuel a little but you won't get far without a turbo because you need more air. As Vic posted, the Cummins transplants, rules permitting, are very popular. You can get a good one by purchasing a retired school bus, and then you can get 600 HP pretty easily.
