1850 gas with serial number 174 645-427 and spec # 285-21004. From the serial number list makes it a 1966, right? Is there anything else these numbers tell?

Will order build card soon.

We have the kids here for our Schwiebert Christmas this weekend. I will look in my book after they leave Monday. I need to e-mail you next week anyway. J.

Yes yours is a '66 model. My 1850 diesel is a tad newer than yours (serial # 174 804-427). The first six digits being the actual serial number and the last three is a transmision code. 427 repesents regular speed transmision (a high speed transmision was optional), therefore had a different code number. The numbers that make up the model number all represent something ie: engine type, front axle type etc. On this site's search box type in "1850 serial number question" and you will get the general idea of the coding.
