Prices for the 2050 can be all over the place. You end up at an auction and two guys go at it, a 2wd can go for $10-15k, but that's an extreme. Generally they'll be asking $5-$10k, depending.

Some years back, Chris Losey wrote probably the most informative article ever on the 2050/2150. I believe it was in the Hart Parr/Oliver Collectors magazine. There were a lot of updates for the 20/2150 series tractors considering the short time they were produced. Some engine parts can be hard to come by but the Hercules was put into a lot of other equipment (military) so there's still a source.

What's your guy asking?

The best time to buy something is when it is for sale. There are not many left. If you are looking from a collectible standpoint, you may want to negotiate your best deal and jump on it. If you are just wanting a
workhorse tractor, there are better deals out there. They don't come up for sale very often. Good luck.

(quoted from post at 12:40:37 04/03/20) A lot of those were sold a year after they quit building them and I think 10% of them wound up in Northwest Ohio
Is that what Oliver sold to compete with the allis chalmers d21

I don't know that they sold them to compete, they made and sold them because that's where the market as going. More 2150s were sold. They were pretty much the same tractor but had a turbo and close to 20 more horsepower. The D21 eventually had transmission problems didn't they? The Olivers didn't have those issues.

That 478 Hercules was hard to beat. They continued those in to the White 2-135 and 2-155s.

schwebert I have heard you mention other odd tractors going to nw ohio . how do you know that , and what was the reason for them ending up there

Most of those tractors had hours on them and the company had some good prices on those tractors. I worked for a dealer at that time. The farmers that bought them kept them a few years and they were traded in or wound up at the Yoder & Frey auction. Probably 3/4 of the farmers that purchased them are long gone in this day & age,
