Oliver 310 crankshaft.

Hello,
I am working on an Oliver 1750 and have found that I have a large crack in the crankshaft. I checked with Maibach tractor since they are the closest to my area but had no luck. Does anyone know of one or have some ideas on where to look for a crank. I am in Ohio close to Dover and New Philidelphia where the national Oliver show is held periodically. Any help would be appreciated. I may even be interested in a whole motor but it isn't my tractor.

I don't have or know where you can get a used one. But I have a 1755 with the crank down in it and I have been thinking about buying one of these new ones that some of the parts suppliers have. I would think this should be better then one ground all the way or even welded up. Maybe someone on this forumn has some experience with these new ones.

[In The Know]

The new ones currently made are made of cast iron. If a steel C1046 steel forging that they used originally won't hold up, I would't put a cast one in. You're better up with a welded up original crank.
