Oliver 440 exhaust

Gambles

I have been looking at Oliver Super 44 and 440 images on Google images. On Google Images, all the exhaust manifolds are on the right side of the engine and the exhaust pipe does a little S curve and the exhaust exits on the left side of the hood straight up and the muffler sits on top, on the left side of the hood. I recently saw a photo of a 440 that has the exhaust pipe going straight up from the exhaust manifold through the RIGHT side of the hood and the muffler sits right on top of the exhaust manifold, on the right side. The hood looked like the hole for the exhaust pipe was in good shape and there was no hole on the left side of the hood. My question is this: Did later 440 tractors have the exhaust on the right side of the hood or has this tractor been modified?

I remember reading about it in Oliver Heritage, but to be honest, I don't remember the details. I'm thinking they switched at some point in serial numbers. Now don't hold me to that.
