Oliver 60 brake lock...

I know a lot of you like to just turn off the tractor and then leave it in gear and I know that is a time honored way of parking the tractor. My Oliver 60's brake lock won't hold for more than a few seconds before it releases. Anyone fix this or have the same problem?

My 88 does that, so I put a zip tie on each one and slid it over the lock lever each time. Kind of a pain, but works. I have a 77 that has a home made lock made similar to the original.
