ThanksHmmm I’ve never had to deal with that before. Maybe find a spring the right size from McMaster Carr? I’ll look at one of mine tomorrow to see if I can figure out how to get it apart
ThanksYou might try classictractorhardware dot com. That's Bill Martinson. He sells Oliver hardware like that. I don't know if he'd have those or not. I kind of think I might have gotten a spring at the hardware store once or twice for them. I think the tail end just turns in to a hole if you spin the spring.
ThanksPretty sure KORVES has them
it’s hard to tell but the only way I can see as to how they put the spring on is either everything is put together and spot welded on as an assembly or the spring is wound on like a key ring which is how I would try taking it apartHmmm I’ve never had to deal with that before. I was thinking that spring is loose, as we would buy them at the Oliver show, loose, always kept a few in special drawer. He’s asking about the spring inside the latch at the bottom of the panels not the one on the hingeI was thinking that spring is loose, as we would buy them at the Oliver show, loose, always kept a few in special drawer. GG Wes
OK, I thought you meant the other one on top. The only I see to change that one is cut the sheet metal piece and tack it back on.Yes the spring on the 2 bottom latches. As I can see it the only way is to cut that bracket loose or heat the latch on one of the 90’s and straighten it
