Ok im done with trying to paint with cheap rattle cans- they spit and sputter and look rough when finished! Would someone just
tell me SIMPLY how to mix green paint with a thinner so I can spray this and be done! I have a $20 gun from HF that should work
fine. Thanks.

I understand where your coming from and your frustration. Your question though is nearly impossible to answer. There are so many different paints out there that require their own thinner ect. I have painted with a bunch and all were way different on thinning and application. From Rust Oleum to DuPont Chroma base/clear to Sherwin Williams urethane. Best advice I can give you is follow the directions on the can. Some of the guys over on the paint and body work forum here are very knowledgeable. You may want to ask there.

I agree. Everything depends on what brand, then what type of paint you are working with.
