Hi all. I have just picked up a Oliver 77 standard ser # 271331 C-77-E. That would make it a 1950. Not sure what the C-77-E means tho. Anyway, I read on here somewhere the the 77 RC and Standard for those years used round holes in the frame to mount attachments and the Supper 77 used square raised machined points for the attachment. Mine has the square machined points ? Am I incorrect in this thinking or did Oliver mismatch parts like this frame if needed ?

Looked at some photos of other 77 standards and they have just one pair of flat face mounting pads in the front and no holes in the frame for the cultivator pipes. It appears those cultivator frame pipe holes were just for the row crop models.

77 standard had square pads on the front and front sides of the tub.
Supers had them on the rear sides of the tub as well if memory serves me right.
