Oliver 770 step

My dad isn't as spry as he used to be at 74 yrs old. With a 3 point, his 770 was difficult to climb onto, so I made him a new step. It is 16" to the first step, so not much as a row crop tractor any more, but all he uses it for is mowing and tractor rides. Has anyone else noticed different colors of Meadow Green, all from Agco? The carb was painted with an Agco rattle can, and the steps were painted with an Agco rattle can too. But it is a shade lighter. I wonder if they have quality control issues?

Nice step!

I haven't noticed any difference in the AGCO paint, but the stuff from TSC is definitely darker than the AGCO. Too dark if you ask me. The AGCO sparks some de-ja-vu,the TSC stuff doesn't.

Nice step and that's a very nice 770 I made a sept for mine pretty simple and not nearly as nice as yours but so far it works for me

Thanks for posting these nice pictures. I hate crawling up the back side of mine to get into the seat although my round fenders make dismount a bit more graceful. Your step looks great. I just have to do something like that also before my butt gets too big to get up the other way.

any of the oliver 3 digit tractors with 3 point are very hard to get on young or old. I lived on 770 every day for years grinding 4 loads feed about every couple days. had lots of animals at one time. nice step

That looks great, I've seen guys make something similar on 4 and 560's. My 770 has standard rigid drawbar so I have a factory toolbox step on rear left and I put another factory made step on right front like the one in this picture that somebody has started reproducing. Not near as handy as yours but it's a lot safer at the grain auger because you can get on at the front and not have to be around that pto shaft.

Well my picture didn't show up try this. =1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=283407274657&targetid=886858509541&device=t&mktype=pla&googleloc=9022683&poi=&campaignid=9423618870&mkgroupid=98144257400&rlsatarget=pla-886858509541&abcId=1141016&merchantid=115296457&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8YLD5eSJ6AIVCVYMCh2-Ng6pEAQYBCABEgIe2fD_BwE

Here is the step sold by Central States Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors with the extension. The extension is about the height of the draw bar when mounted. This picture is on an 880 with 3-point using the right hand step.
Thanks
