Oliver 88 Steering Support

Hi, I have an Oliver 88 with a wide front end and it looks like the steering support bushing is either broken or missing parts. I tried moving up the slotted bottom half of the bushing support, but the bushing still slides out as soon as I drive it. Any ideas?

I believe you'll need to turn one of those the other way so one is in front of the ball and the other is behind. They made a cast block with a bushing later for them. I had a 77 with that style and couldn't keep it tight. The universal eventually wore a hole in the rear side curtain.

move the upper piece to the other side, turn it around and it will hold the ball in place.
