Hello, this is my 1st post. My Dad has what I think is a Oliver industrial front end loader, gasoline 4 cyl. Unsure of year. We are trying to figure out what to do with it. It's definitely in rough shape. The idea of scrapping it is definitely being discussed. We live in Idaho. Any input is great. Thank you & God bless. I tried adding a couple pics but can't access my email, so pics available on request (hopefully).

If the green Oliver is a 80, but mine has the engine tag that says Oliver 80.... what is going on. It's very clear I don't understand. Is there a explanation ?
Thank you very much.
These machines are decades old, and many have gone through an engine swap. Doesn’t mean yours has, but that is one of many things that can happen to keep a machine going over the years. The yeller paint could be original for a special order Highway Department or municipal vehicle. Or maybe someone started contracting and wanted their green machine to look the part and did a makeover…50 years ago. This is one of the fun parts about these machines, doing a little investigation by scraping down the layers and seeing what life if might have lived imho

Knight9ite, not all Oliver tractors left the factory painted Green. The industrial tractors were usually painted Yellow or Orange. Oliver like all tractor manufactures would paint the tractor any color you wanted for an extra charge.

What You have there is an Oliver 80-B Industrial. The "B" Series Started with Serial Number 900583, and the Distinguishing Feature of the "B" series was the fact that it had the same Front Axle as the 99 with 20" Wheels.
The "A" Series was Similar to the Standard but had different Gearing and Rear Wheel Brakes.
There were only just over 500 ish Built, so it is Rare, who knows how many left?
Find a Collector that wants it, rather than sending it to the Smelter if Possible.
