Oliver Crank Question

I have an opportunity to purchase a stroked 310 (7 main) crank. The owner claims it is design and will fit in a 265 super 88 block. Has anyone ever hear of this? I think understand why a 310 was used, becuase it was offset ground to gain the stroke instead of welding, but my fear is that there are induced stress by not supporting two of the main bearings. Also just the overall fit. Input appreciated.

YOU need to machine the block at the thrust main to accept 310 thrust bearing. ALso will have to drill oil holes. Have 7 main crank that"s been in 88 for years.

Number 1, 3, 5, 7 main journals on the crank have been opened up wider to allow the use of an 88 bearing. No big deal, I know of one engine that has a crank like that in it and it has been on the track for about 15 years.
