oliver injectors

hi everyone, i have an oliver 1650 diesel and just had the head done, the injectors rebuilt and the injection pump rebuilt. just eight months after the injectors were rebuilt the tractor started to run rough so i had the injector pump rebuilt. it still ran rough at high idle. went to check for compression and found an injector with like blow back. sent them out again and they said four of the six were way off on psi. new nozzles were then installed and i just got them back. now the question is this wakashau has a copper flared return system which are carefully bent to fit. can i replace it with current tees and plastic tubing? actually the real question is does it run right. don't know, its not together. so what do you think?

I would check even the new injectors before installing , if the tees slip on the injectors & don't leak I think it would be ok to use them. Now having said that I recently had to replace # 6 tee ( 1655 Oliver ) because the weight of the rubber return line pulling down on the tee caused it to fail after a couple of years ! my point : the new style stuff is not 100 % fool proof

The return lines can be changed, there's no pressure on the return side back to the tank. If injectors were repaired and set right the first time, they should not have dropped on opening pressure the second time UNLESS the setting lock nuts were not tight.

He has the early head with the horizontal injectors, not the late head with the pencil injectors.

thanks for the info. i only ask because the copper return lines are always leaking just a hair but enough to dirty the engine with a layer of dust and oil. so justl looking for another way to plug another leak.
