There is a 3pt oliver sickle bar mower for sale near me. I have never even seen one before. Did Oliver make their own or was it built by another company.

I've probably read an article or two on them, but I don't recall. Let's see what Ross has to say:

Thanks for the direction. THe one for sale is the one with no pitman arm. THey want $150. I don't really need it, but might be cool to dink with.

I have an Oliver cycle bar mower. It is not three point. It bolts to the Oliver drawbar. One tire in the rear. I mowed hay and clipped straw stubbles using a 77 and 66 back in the 1960's. I used it here up until my legs would not get me back up on the tractor more than a few times when it would plug up in tangled grass. It has set out in the weeds since. I would guess close to ten years. One of the roofers working out here hit his head on the divider board and threw a fit and broke it off. I am outside of Edon Ohio and would part with it. My uncle was a dealer in Angola Indiana. If I was not 88 and have to use a power chair outside it would still be on my gonna fix it someday list.
I have never sold much of my projects or parts but I have traded. Not a very good trader though. I shipped a front cover for an allis B with a new bearing and seal to be traded for whatever he could afford and receiver a quart jar of homemade pickles. For a long time I would trade pocket knives sight unseen. Never came out ahead. Never planned on it. All of that to let you know I would not hold you up if you want it.
