Is there any difference between the 419 and 619 moldboards? I have always seen them listed side by side in catalogs and considered them interchangeable.
I needed one new moldboard and ordered one from a supplier that was listed in a catalog as R619-16, series 419, 619. The one I received was stamped 419.

When I put it on the plow, I first thought something was radically different as the brace behind the moldboard did not line up against it. So I lay the old moldboard (marked R619-16) against the new one. Isn’t exactly identical but the curvature is pretty close and the holes line up with the ones on the frog.

Turns out it was the brace that somehow got bent where it attaches to the landside. I got that heated and bent back to fit.

Still, I wonder if the 419 moldboard is going to perform exactly the same as the 619s.
