Need new or new to me rad for 990.
Took mine to rad shop estimate came back $1000 for repair.
Found some new ones on-line for 880 for $400

I had to have mine recored last year. It only cost me 450$. A grand sure seems high.

Larry: I'm in Canada, we get screwed big time on parts here. That's why so many Canadians buy in the US.
I bought $7500. US yesterday cost me $8385. Canadian with exchange rate.
I also answered you question over on another thread, you asked about buying my heavy hubs from my 990. With the exchange rate I'll probably end up "paying you" to buy them. LOL

Hemi, where are you in Canada? I had a radiator rebuilt by Pacific Radiator in Langley, BC and it was about $400 if I remember right.

Thanks super55, biggest problem is the tanks are rotten, recore isn't an issue.

Does anyone know if the 880 will work in 990??? I can find rads for 880's

I'm in Calgary. Took to first of 2 rad shops, after they hot tanked it all the leaks showed up. No leaks before hot tank, just needed rad "mounts" on side soder'd back on.

Well took rad to second rad shop: Calgary Rad. Kevin is the guy who runs it, his father in law ran it for 40+ years and Kevin has been there for 31 years. I can't say enough good things about Kevin: honest, a real gentleman, good rad man and very fair price of $150. Didn't try and upsell me a new core, said mine was just fine.
