1. Chris Ford set up a brainstorming session to generate ideas / items for action regarding internal expectations for the Tractor Test Museum.

Eleven attended the brainstorming session held in the UNL East Campus Union building. A number of subjects were discussed related to the organizational structure of the Friends organization, their role and potential involvement with short and long term planning museum and related decisions. A second meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, March 8th at 1:00 in the East Campus Union.

2. Curt McConnell's brainstorming session leads to shop improvements and proposals for April meeting.

Three flourescent light fixtures were added to the shop ceiling to improve the lighting. (photo attached) In addition, a retractable hanging chord reel was installed to improve accessibility to electricity while using power tools. There are several additional improvement that can be made and collectively could make significant improvements in regards to productivity, quality and safety.

3. The John Deere D was selected as the recipient of 50 hours of volunteer service. Our new volunteer, Charlie sandblasted and painted the tractor in the shop where he works. The tractor was delivered back to the museum this week and looks very good. (see attached photo) The Tractor Restoration Club is now working on getting everything back together and will be meeting each Monday evening at 7:00pm.

The Massey-Harris 101 Junior radiator was repaired this week. All other needed parts are here and this Tuesday, the tractor should be reassembled.

The John Deere H is still being evaluated. Minor improvements are being made such as a good cleaning and some minor painting. A plan will be put in place including a parts list, a budget, and work orders for consideration. Forms are being developed and tried out on the club at this time.
