Oliver/white loader Diesel Injection pump

Hello All I have a Oliver white front wheel assist I belive the model is 2-62, It as a 310 diesel in it, My question is that lately when starting it the rpms run away full throttle, shut it down the restart and its just fine its done it the last 3 times I went to use it, and don't want to blow it up. What is the cause of this or the solution??? Thanks in advance.

The injection pump needs repair, pronto! The retainer ring is failing, and if run long enough the retainer pins will shear off, locking up the hydraulic head, and breaking the drive shaft. Have seen that happen too many times in years of repairing pumps.
