Need help with model ID, will a H farmall pull this and what would be a fair price to pay?

Doubt that an H would pull that, especially deep below the "hard pan". Looks more like it would take a WD9 to move that through the soil.

I used a single shank 3 point ripper behind a 1800 oliver, sunk in as deep as it would go was all the old girl wanted.

Used to pull one like that with a 49 JD A. Also put in many a water line pulling it with an 8N Ford after making several passes.

It is a McCormick Deering Tractor Subsoil Plow #2.....An H can pull a 2-12's plow so I
would sure think it would pull this You are only cutting a 1 1/2 inch path ...they also
made a new version of this that was mounted on 2 point arms for a Super C or 200 with a
fast hitch, If you send me your email address I can send you a few pics of the owners
manual. As far what it is worth any where from 200.00 to 600.00 I purchased one two
months ago at auction for 225.00 and I have heard and asking price of 600.00....the one
I purchased may need a little work on the ground lift system I have not had a chance to
try it out, mine came with the coulter clamp but no coulter, So where are you located

Kevin Happke: I would appreciate you sending me anything you might have. I am in ne Kansas 50 miles north of Topeka and a little east of 75 highway. I plan on picking it up tomorrow if the guy still has it. Thanks

An H won't pull it very deep unless you have really light soil. Those things can really pull hard depending in conditions. That will give an M all it wants maybe more around here .

I have pulled a King Kutter single shank subsoiler (3 point style ) behind my bone stock Farmall h. Tractor is well worn but not totally wore out.

The single shank suboiler when lowered deep is a load in my concrete clay like soils. The h does pull it but needs 1st gear most of the time In comparison my bone stock farmall m plays with it and it is well worn too.

If you are only cutting a inch and a half wide path you are not going deep enough . Working properly they lift and shatter the soil in about a 48 inch wide area , but you have to get it under the plow pan and have enough HP to be able to use 2nd gear ideally .

I would compare the pull needed to a 3-bottom plow in most conditions, so 1st gear will be expected and some weight may be needed...

My Grandad used to say (with his WD-45), put it in 3rd and take the Bridle off it..!!!

What a ride it was..!!

I would like strangle the Bas???? who stole that Subsoiler...
